OOTD's and shiz!

Completely loving summer this year which is odd because I'm usually a winter person! I have bought loooads of clothes recently and I'm struggling to choose what I can take on holiday as I have too many!

Ootd from Monday:

           beaded print skirt - Zara
                   satchel bag - vintage
              sunglasses - urban outfitters
                  white vest top - Gap
            necklaces - (various places)

Whilst shopping I came across some cute flowery cat ears:

They were in the sale at River Island and I thought they'd be cute to wear on holiday and also for future festivals. They're super cute... Perhaps my cat will think I'm actually a cat now...

I also bought this crochet jumper in the Next sale. I'll wear it over my bikini when on holiday as it's very light and it looks lovely on!

Whites are always a good option in summer. Not only are they incredibly summery but they also make you look more tanned which is always a good thing!

July favourites!

Although the weather in England is unpredictable, I like to believe that we in fact well into summer. Summer comes with lovely coral colours and bronzed skin which I loooooove!

I'm not always very keen on spending a lot of money on makeup so this bronzer is perfect for me really!
I bought this when pondering in Superdrug, it's only £3.99 and it is SO good! It stays on all day, it isn't too dark (with the correct amount) and it gives a really nice glow to my face! It's perfect to wear with no foundation as it still sticks onto your face!

Blue is my favourite colour and this colour nail varnish is reaaally nice!
It's perfect for summer as it has fluorescent glow! It actually motivates me to paint my nails (which I hate doing)...

Lastly, when doing last minute prom shopping I came across this lipstick:
It's a lovely coral colour and the pigment is absolutely amazing! It stays on for aaages, looks lovely and smells fab! It was a little bit pricey (£26) but sometimes paying that extra bit more is worth it!

Charity shop shenanigans.

Charity shops or 'thrift' shops. They're cheap, they're quick and they actually contain some really good stuff... Not to mention the fact you're giving money to charity! It's a win-win situation in which ever you look at it! Who would refuse a new jacket for 99p? I certainly wouldn't!

At first I was hesitant of shopping in charity shops due to the one simple factor that the clothes were second hand... Who knows where they could have previously been! Buttttt....... they can be washed, right? And despite the common known myth that charity shops contain clothes than old people have died in... I refuse to believe it. In fact, one jumper I own from a charity shop smells SOOOOOOO good that I never want to wash it. Sad, I know.

Here are my 3 tips for shopping in charity shops:

1) If you see something you like, just buy it. It's probably less money than a Gregg's sausage roll.

2) If you find something you like.. but it doesn't fit: take it home and alter it.
(buy jeans, make them into shorts)

3) Check the pockets!!! One time I found a fiver!

Happy shopping!

Prom 2014!

Prom was something I'd looked forward to since I started school! I'd always imagined myself to be wearing one of those huge princess dresses.... luckily my ideas changed..

It all seemed to come around far too fast and now I am gutted it was over but it was an AMAZING night.

The dress - GOYA London £325
  Necklace - Coast £40
          Clutch - Ruby's (Darlington)

My prom date is my bestfriend and I am soooooo glad we went together!

I also had a lot of fun doing my makeup for prom! Here's what I used:
  - For foundation I used Estee Lauder's Double Wear - the coverage and longevity of it is SO good!
- No.7 darker foundation for contouring
- Maybelline's Coverage Stick concealer
- MAC's Prep and Prime
- Collection 2000's Mosaic bronzer
- Collection 2000's eyebrow kit (better    than Benefits!)
- Molten Brown's Sheer Light (highlight) in 05
- Cheryl Cole's Eyelure lashes
- Various shades from my Naked 2 palette
- For lipstick I used Dior's Rouge Dior in 539 (Ambre ZĂ©mire) which I lovvvve (despite the price)

Although I've heard that prom is boring and a waste of money...  I, for one thoroughly enjoyed myself and I had a really good night! But I have one tip:

 WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES!

Goooood bye,
